She has a very strong grasp of the letters and their sounds and is able to work her way through sounding out some words. She is very excited to be able to look at a book and see more than just letters jumbled on the page.

Is My Child Ready?

February 3rd, 2009

As I write this, parents all over are asking, “Is my child ready for Kindergarten?” Most private schools conduct their admission tests around February, and those that will attend public school are starting to think beyond their preschool worlds and focus on what lies ahead. Most preschoolers, at this point, are ready for a little more academic structure, but not quite ready for a full five-day Kindergarten.

Pre K Scholars was developed in response to this situation. We want to be an active part of building a bridge between all preschools, both academic and developmental, and Kindergarten. Have you seen what the new Kindergarten looks like?

In developing both the Family Kit and the Home-Based Business Kit, we talked to moms and listened to their input. We value your input moving forward, and encourage you to share your questions and comments—and your stories!
